Woodrow Wilson Carroll - Military Service

On Aug 9, 1945, the "Drumright News - Victory in Europe Edition" was published.  This special edition featured pictures and information about all the young men from Drumright. Oklahoma who would be returning home from the war.  Among those featured was Woodrow Wilson Carroll.

T/5 Woodrow W. Carroll, 32, husband of Mrs. Ella Carroll, is with the Army Engineers. The couple have three children, Bobby Dale, Phyllis Jean, and Donna Kay. Their home is on the Pure Oil Lease. Carroll was drafted in April 1944, and trained at Ft. Jackson, S. C. and Ft. Velvoir, Va., after which he was sent overseas to the European theater in October, 1944. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Carroll, Route 1.
